God, Be my Refuge and Strength. . .

Dear God,

Please help me and my family as we go through this turmoil and that you will grant us protection and strength. Although I know I haven't been the best of the best and do things that don't make my parents proud, but I promise You that I will take the step forward and walk in Your steps. Every action and every word will be Yours. Thank you, Lord.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

Beginning of a New Life in a New Place Pt 1

I could still recalled the first time I told my friend, AL, in my secondary school that my dad is going over to Australia and I might follow him there. As usual, it was just an empty promise that had failed to realize. Ever since, I am stuck in Malaysia. PMR came and went, SPM came and went and still I haven't gotten my chance to study oversea. So, I thought if I do well in my SPM I might have the chance to go oversea. Oh no, again i was deprived of another chance of studying oversea because JPA and Petronas rejected my scholarship application. Darn. On the other hand, I was offered a place in Taylors College to do a businees degree for 4 years. Since that was the only scholarship available without having my parents fork out their money, I took the offer.

At last, after 4 years, I finally got the opportunity ( thanks to my dad) to pursue my studies oversea.

Location : Sydney, AUSTRALIA
University : University of New South Wales
Course : Master in Commerce (Fund Management)

The thought of starting a new life in a completely different environment, where there are no 24 hours mamak stalls, no cheap Char kuay teow and no personal car to drive about, is scaring me and at the same time, makes me so pumped up to explore new horizon.

As the day closed in, I had shorter and shorter time to spend with my baby. We tried to spend as much time as possible, be with each other as frequent as possible. I had a lot of farewell from friends, tennis student( a CEO btw), and my baby's parents. Lots of good food and I enjoyed the time together, trying to catch up and update myself with their lives and happennings.

I shall post up some pictures from 1st day of Chinese New Year, which i spent in Taiping, to the day I left the airport. Some memorable pictures and quality time that I had. Thanks guys for the warm "riddance" ( according to Mr S).

Pre - CNY cookie-baking session:

My gf and her family usually bake cookies for cny festival. Some of her cookies are Chop-Chip Cookies ( which everyone pleasantly compliments her cookies as if they are from the Famous Amos) and Pineapple tarts ( made by her mum). It was always fun when it comes to battering the ingredients. For me especially. That means I get to "kacau". haha.

My birthday @ Bubba Gump Shrimp, The Curve

17th Jan. Hmm, another date in the year to celebrate.

Some of the pretty cool decoration on the table. Actually they serve as a tool to stop at the table when the red "Stop Forest Stop" sign is being displayed while the dark blue " Run Forest Run" is put on after the waiter/ess have taken down the orders. Kinda cool eh? hehe.

Most important thing in the restaurant~!!! Food babe. . .

MY BIRTHDAY CAKE~!!!
my close mates got me 16 cute lil cupcakes with JELLY BEANS on the top. The "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" candles put a special touch onto the cupcakes and I LOVE it so much~!!! Thanks peeps. Love you guys a lot.

Yi Vonn's mum's treat @ Dao Rae Gargen, Taipan

As I was due to fly soon, yi vonn's mum decided to give me a treat as a farewell meal. Initially, she wanted to go to Las Carretas at Taipan but it was closed. Funny. It was a Sunday, where it should be busy as families come out to eat, but it was not operating. "Oh well, then another restaurant then" her mum suggested.

Korean it was~! So we went to our loyal korean restaurant, which is located at the corner of street, just opposite the McD's. Oh man. I would surely miss this place once I am in Sydney. Just look at the photos and you will know why.

After the delicious meal, I hadn't got any idea what was stored for me. Upon reaching her house, they surprised me with this choc cake. I was so surprised because I didn't expect them to buy me a cake for my birthday as her mum just spent me lunch at a korean restaurant. I was very blessed indeed. Counting my blessing already. =p

*Look at the decoration on the cake. Awesome right? Shu Wen had the pleasure of eating the strawberries because she loves them. She even named her blog with strawberries. hehe.

* finger licking good!*
*happy couple*

Head Coach's Farewell Dinner @ the TERRACE, Curve

My head coach at KLGCC has been very good to me since the first day I worked under his guidance. I could still recalled the incident where I was being lectured and was given a warning. It was basically my fault because I couldn't wake up for the Sat morning tennis classes. Instead of arriving at the court at 8am, I reached there by 9pm. How on earth can a Head coach stand that kind of attitude? That wasn't the first time. So, Im sure you can guess what happen next.

After that, I was so scared that I was always punctual for any tennis classes. I always arrive earlier than my Head Coach and Sheena. I can even bet that none of them arrive earlier than me. Is that the reason why my Head Coach, Mr Khoo got me the sponsorship? For being a "good boy"? hehe. Due to his blessing and kind-heartedness, I've gotten Wilson sponsorship as well as Dunlop. Never ever in my tennis life have I gotten any sponsorship apart from SUKMA. Im seriously very grateful to Mr Khoo for all the guidance and the wisdom that he has imparted to me all throughout the 4 years duration. Thanks, MR KHOO.

The food was relatively good and it offered great environment and the atmosphere for marvellous dining experience. There was a group of singers performing across the walkway thus, adding a melodic wave to the atmosphere. They served great Barbeque chicken & beef as well as lamb chop. Had a few helpings. On top of that, I had great desserts to compliment the scrumptious meal that I devoured hungrily. Yummylicious.

Outings with my baby and Yu Hui @ Times Square & Sg Wang

The main purpose for this outing was to survey my baby's hair products and some make-up tools as they will be needing them for future use. I was quite excited on this outing as I seldom go to Times Square and Sg Wang with my baby. So, upon reaching Times Square, we were so starved to death that all three of us decided to find a place to eat. After some "heated" discussion, we finally decided to eat at Times Square itself. On the way to the restaurant, we stopped by GSC to see what movie was showing that day. Naw, not one that interest us. So, we proceeded to the food area. Found this cafe/restaurant at the top of Times Square, just beside the GSC cinema. As you can see from the picture, it is called "SEK HOU Restaurant".

Marvellous and delicious food I thought. I ordered my favourite food = UNAGI~!!! hehe. Just by looking at the picture, Im already drooling all over. Yu Hui a.k.a. Chipmunk ordered some fantastic and finger-licking-good meal as well. What a meal to start off the day.

Subsequently, we went to Sg Wang to look for the girls' stuff and I, being a very the gentleman, just tagged along. hehe. I am so good, aren't i? Then, to Chipmunk's surprise, as we entered a boutique at the top floor of Sg Wang, she saw one of the My FM Dj working in the shop. She told us that she has not heard him on the radio for quite some time already. And thanks to my D90, I took a very memorable picture for her. hehe. I think she owed me one dinner. =p.

Bible Class Farewell Dinner @ Ole Ole Bali, Solaris

Another memorable and tasty farewell dinner organized by my Bible Class friends. They have decided to celebrate my farewell at Ole Ole Bali, which I personally thought was a good idea because I have not tried this restaurant before. Judging from the pictures below, I supposed it was a delicious meal as farewell. Ranging from ayam betutu to their special burger(which Datin Cindy Yam described as the best burger), we had the time of our life, just dining in and eating to our hearts content. We drank some vine as well, thanks to Datin Cindy.

I must admit that the Satays were so delicate and tender. They were just awesome. The Ayam Betutu was also mouth-watering as well. Food was just everywhere, filling up the whole table. I just hope the food won't go straight to my tummy after this. =p

Pre- CNY @ Baba Jun House
Poker~! That's what I have been looking forward to when it comes to CNY. Basically not just Poker, but also Blackjack and In-Between. This time around, we did it differently. Instead of using the Poker chips, we used Sugus and Hacks. It was just hillarious. One would build their empire of Hacks and while he was doing that, we would persuade him to bet more in order to make his empire collapse. We really had great time together and just spending time as buddies. Miss you man, Jun.

The empire of Sugus was mine until Jun took it all away. Damn Jun. hehe. And one more thing which was hillarious was that while we were playing Poker, some of us just couldn't resist the temptation to just eat the Sugus and Hacks. Especially Jay Vijay. haha. The worse thing was that he ate his friend's sugus, not his. How mean was that. haha. So, as the owner of the place, Jun eventually won all our Sugus and Hacks.

Futsal Session @ Spotlite, Taiping

Feeling excited, ready to kick some ass or being kicked. haha. This was my first time, I would say. Although I have lived in Taiping for so long, I have never set my foot on Futsal field. What a waste. Spotlite is located just at the corner of Lake Garden, Taiping. FYI, Lake Garden has the most beautiful lake and scenery in the whole of Taiping. One could enjoy the cool breeze under the shades of raintrees that hover above you and stretches right into the lake. Looking at one of the picture, the hill behind the Futsal field is the famous Maxwell Hill. Famous for its "Genting-like" atmosphere but less poluted and less crowded. So yeah. In conclusion, Taiping ROcks.

30th Night, One day before Chinese New Year, Home
Steamboat! Like vs Dislike. My liking for steamboat varies according to my mood. Sometimes I would be craving for steamboat but sometimes I just become sick of it. Not sure why but that's how it is. Mum was busy preparing the ingredients for the steamboat. I must say, "Mum, you rock!" hehe. Just miss my mum's cooking and all. Mummy's boy I suppose. hehe.

Look at my mum. She's so fierce. That's because I was harassing her with my camera. haha. Anyway, that's not fierce, she was just posing for me. Not intentional for being so "fierce". hehe. Luv u, mum & dad. I didn't put up my dad's picture because he was topless with a Sarong. haha.
