Exotic Malaysian Food with Carina, John Lau aka Ma Lau and Jenny Wu. . .

Hey hey. . . This whole week was awesome because Carina, Jenny and I had our Malaysian Food Fest on our own. . . Oh, Carina is my cousin and Jenny is her friend from Aussie. . . "Good day, Mate". . . =p. . .They were on their way to India for the internship in one of the hospital and btw, they are Optometric students from UNSW, Sydney. . . Since this is Jenny's first time in Malaysia, I had the honour to introduce our culture, lifestyle, heritage - which were always associated with. . . . . . . FOOooDddDD~!!!!!Am I right, my dear Malaysian? hehe. . .

Aladdin was our first destination and it was exciting because this is my first time there as well. We were there to dine with Carina's uncle and his family. *being nosy - He is the COO for Firefly Airlines, Malaysia. FYI, Firefly is a new Malaysian no-frills airline and a subsidiary of our proud Malaysian Airlines -MAS* Enough of that. Come back to the FOOD~!!!

Looks delicious, isn't it? The food was good as well as the company.

Next day, we went to Klang to show off our Famous Bak Kut Teh to our dear Australian friend. John tried some stupid jokes to scare Jenny on what meat they served in the Bah Kut Teh. Jenny was playing along with him and 'duh. . . #%@' But it was good to wake up early to drive all the way to Klang just to eat Bak Kut Teh. Refreshing konon-nya. hehe. Actually John wanted to bring us to a more famous shop but it was closed due to renovation. Anyway, all bak kut the taste the same for myself. There's one shop at SS14, Subang Jaya which has the equivalent standard with the one we had. Next time don't need to drive so far to eat Bak Kut Teh le. SS14 can already. hehe. . . What to do? Fuel expensive now. hehe. Then we adjourned to Chi Cheong Kai aka Petaling Street to continue our Food Quest.

*welcome to petaling street. I am your host, Ms Jenny Wu*

* the Famous jammed packed Petaling Street which in this case not - might have been raided by by the Majlis Perbandaran I supposed*

* three posers eating Kuai Ling Gao*

*eh. . . Gang fight ar? Or keng sou at the back alley ( macam mana mau settle. . .?)*

NO WAY. We couldn't possibly be showing our guest our "herritage", could we? haha. Actually this place is the reason why Petaling Street exists in the first place. From what I've heard from Mr John Lau, the Hawker stalls began their business a long time ago before Petaling Street became popular. This place was the "in-thing" back then. So that was a good reason to visit the place although I have got to admit that I have not been to this place after coming to Petaling Street for countless times. *Kinda bad tour guide I was*

* The Famous place that made Petaling Street a big hit. . .

* Cendol, cendol and more cendol. . .

Then, we adjourned to Central Market to look at some of Malaysian handicrafts. But there's one thing that really caught my attention at once glance. Rape the wall. Not the kids.

WTH?~!!! F#@K the wall. . . That was the first. I think by forcing the rapists to rape the wall, this will definitely send some signal up to their brains whenever they want to carry out their hideous and shameful acts. Seriously, it was funny. But I have got to admit that behind this writing, there is truth in it. As we had experience shocking news that swept Malaysia with anguish and horror, the Nurin's case was definitely the most gruesome case that has ever happened in our nation. Why would someone kill an innocent young child? Will our nation remain its peacefulness and serenity that has kept our people safe and harmony for the past 20 or 30 years? With the statistics going up and up, I guess that day will never come back again. . .

Then, we procced to Suria KLCC, a shopping complex which is not alien to many people including the locals and tourist because this place is where the Famous Petronas Twin Towers stands tall and brings the name of Malaysia to be on par with the rest of the world. Thanks to Dr Mahathir for his superb visionary and wisdom that we have the towers today. . . After taking some pictures and a long session of chatting and shopping, we headed back home with another thrilling day waiting ahead of us.

The next day, awoken by a stupid call, looking for " Kilang Kaya", I dressed up and got ready for breakfast. We were told that we were having breakfast at O & S Restaurant at Taman Paramount. Curry mee, Penang Prawn mee and Kuay Teow Ting were some of the dishes we ordered. Let the pictures speak for itself.

* Penang Prawn Meeeeeee.........

* Kuay Teow Ting. . .

* Curry Meee....with Lime....

Then, at night, John Lau took us to a place near Kota Damansara. Eastern Delight is the name. Not to mention anything, the bill took all of us by surprise. It served porridge steamboat FYI. The porridge cost as much as the ingredient itself. WTH?~!!!Seriously must complaint to the Customer Rights Association or whatever you called it. Just because I took out my camera and snapped a few pictures of it they charged us so darn expensive and John had to rub it in by saying it is my fault. Bringing out the camera, it seemed, made us look like a tourist. Bugger~!!! But don't care la. The food is so so only, maybe because geram already. haha.

-THE END-
